INTRAcel™️ Radio Frequency (RF) microneedling is a fractional radio frequency treatment combined with deep dermal microneedling to treat acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, rough skin texture and certain types of stretch marks. 

INTRAcel™️ treats these skin conditions by stimulating the production of collagen. Collagen is naturally produced by our body, helping skin look firmer and younger. As we get older, the body produces less collagen resulting in a loss of elasticity in the skin and evidence of wrinkles and lines. 

By combining microneedling to penetrate the skin and radio frequency to deliver heat energy deep into the skin tissue,  the skin responds to the thousands of tiny microscopic energy points by generating new collagen growth thus, healing and tightening the skin. This results in thicker, firmer, smoother skin. When treating acne scars, the RF energy breaks up scar matter and allows for more efficient collagen remodeling.

What is my downtime after treatment?

There is little to no downtime with INTRAcel™️ RF Microneedling. You will have a mild to moderate amount of redness for 1-3 days after treatment. This can be covered with tinted moisturizer or sunscreen. 

What areas of the body can you treat?

This is a great question! The face, neck and declotte are the most common treatment areas. However, we treat abdomens, inner arms and anterior thighs to tighten crepey or wrinkled  skin. We can also treat a variety of body areas with stretchmarks.

I  have a darker skin type, can I  still have this treatment?

INTRAcel™️ is a great treatment option for all skin types. Here is a great example of a patient of darker skin tone receiving treatment for acne scars.

Does the treatment hurt?

30-45 minutes prior to treatment a strong topical numbing agent is applied to control any discomfort. Most patients experience a warm tingling sensation during treatment, but it is tolerated well. 

How many treatments will I  need?

You will see some improvement even with one treatment. To achieve maximum benefit a series of 2-4 treatments is recommended. 

Will it treat active acne along with acne scarring?

The energy from the radio frequency has been showed to reduce sebum and decrease p.acne bacteria, therefore reducing active acne.
